Documents Overview

The Documents module contains the files and URLs associated with the event. You can include files such as PDFs, spreadsheets, slides, audio and video files, and URLs that are associated with the content of your event.

The Documents module lets you quickly create new content for the event and easily manage it within Backstage. You can also use this module to creating settings around the files that relate to who can access the files and when.


All uploaded files are visible under the "All Documents" tab. If you would wish to remove an existing document check the box next to the title and click "Permanently remove".  

Uploading and Downloading files with Backstage is a simple process. Navigate to the All Files tab in the Documents module, and find the File Management section on the right-hand side. There you will see a button labeled Download and one labeled Upload.

In order to download all files from Backstage, click the Download button in the File Management section. This will export all files as .zip file. You can unzip the .zip file to view all files on your desktop.

In order to upload files into Backstage, click the Upload button in the File Management section. In the pop-up window that appears, click Choose File and select the file that you would like to upload. You can also upload multiple files at once by creating a .zip file of all of the files and selecting that .zip file here. Once the file that you would like to upload has been selected, click Begin Upload. A confirmation will appear letting you know that the file has been uploaded, at which point you can click Accept changes. All files that were uploaded will now appear in the All Files tab in the Documents module.
