Summary
QR codes can be linked to your workspace in Backstage, so that when they are scanned by app users specific actions are triggered in the app.
Actions linked to scanning a QR code can be to add a bookmark to the app, open an item such as a page/form/document, open the user's profile to prompt them to enter their personal information, or show a pop-up message.
QR codes are configured using the Shortlink module, available on the Content category of the main menu.
Note: You will need to install the QR scanner module in order to see the Shortlink menu in Backstage.
Tip: Shortlinks can also be used associated to app menu items or quick links.
To create your QR codes you can use free services like http://www.qr-code-generator.com, where you can enter the text for the code and then generate the QR code images in order to print them off.
