This article describes the connectivity test that is part of the new version of SpotMe Studio.
The connectivity test is designed to be used by any speaker or host of a live stream or webinar.
This mandatory test will detect whether the speaker's current set-up and internet connection have any issues that might prevent them from delivering a good experience to their audience.
Upon joining the live stream or webinar room, just after selecting their microphone/camera, the speaker can run the connectivity test. The test is very fast, and will individually evaluate the speaker's:
- Connectivity
- Webcam
- Microphone
- Speakers (audio test)
Any issues detected during the test will be displayed in the test results, along with any corrective actions that the speaker can take to resolve them.
Once the test is completed and the results are displayed, the speaker can join the studio, even if there are still connectivity issues detected.
Tip: We highly recommend that the speaker run the test as soon as possible, in advance to going live, so that they have sufficient time to address any potential issues before the start of the live session
