Note: This article applies to the "legacy" version of polling, which is deprecated. Please use the new live session polling. More information.
In this article we'll take you through the steps of creating a poll, by adding the questions and potential options, and also configuring the flow of questions.
Creating the poll
To create a new poll in your workspace, go to the Interactivity category > Polls > New poll, and provide the following information:

This is an icon associated to the poll, and that will be visible whenever you add a link to the poll in a page or session.

This is used to select an existing theme (i.e. how the poll will look) for the poll, or to create a new one.
See the Configuring the poll's look and feel article for further information.
Voting page
Here you can select an existing voting page to associate to the poll, or create one. The voting page is the form in the workspace where you'll add and configure the poll questions. See the Adding questions to the poll section below for further information on this.
Targeting
This is used to determine which app users will be notified (invited) when a the poll is launched, and who will have access to the poll. More information on this is available in the Targeting article.
Once you have entered the above information for the poll you are creating, click on Save.
You can now move on to adding the questions to the poll.
Adding questions to the poll
After creating the poll, you will be redirected to the poll's voting page (or form), where you can configure the questions, answers, and their flow.
You can also access the poll voting page by clicking on the Edit (pencil) icon, in the voting page field, to open the Edit poll tab.
Note: Only Live choice (single and multiple choices), Live rating and Word cloud questions can be used in polls.
2.a. Adding a live choice question
Live choice questions are multiple choice questions. When adding a live choice question to the poll, you will need to provide the following information:
Question statement
This is the actual question that will be asked to the poll participants.

2.c. Adding a word cloud question
A word cloud is a visualization of multiple words all displayed simultaneously in a single image. In a word cloud question, app users will be asked to answer a question with words, using a free text field. Those words will then be displayed as a word cloud when showing the results of the question.
When configuring a word cloud question, you will need to provide the following information:
Question statement
This is the actual question that will be asked to the poll participants.

Select the colors for Words color 1, Words color 2, and Words color 3.
Configuring the flow of questions
The question flow is the pace at which the questions are displayed, when the voting is opened and closed, and when results are displayed, etc.
When configuring the questions, you will have the below options to pre-configure the flow to be used when the poll is launched.
For live choice and live rating questions
Automatically display options
If you select this, the question's choices are displayed automatically in the Live view and in the app for the question.
Show absolute count in results
If you select this, the total count for each selected option (or poll participant vote) is shown in the Live view and in-app when the results are shared with the audience.
Voting time
This is the duration (in seconds) of the countdown for answering the question.
For live choice questions only
Show relative percentage of votes in results
If selected, the relative percentages for each option the participants voted for is shown in the Live view and in-app when the results are shared with the audience.
Highlight correct answers
Selecting this option will highlight the correct answer to a question in the app and Live view when showing the results. This only works for live choice questions, and when a correct answer has been configured in the question.
NEXT STEP
Once you've added the questions to the poll and adjusted the flow, you can configure the look and feel of the poll.
