Summary
In addition to the information provided in the Getting started article on Adding a page to the workspace, this article will provide more information on using the Pages module.
The Pages module is where all the pages included in the workspace are created and managed.
Pages are created by first adding basic information for the page such as its title and sub title.
Then, you can add content using an associated display template that can be configured based on the page's purpose, with headers, sections, text, images, as well as links to any content that is internal or external to the app.
In the Pages module you can:
- See the full list of pages in the workspace, and perform certain individual or bulk actions on pages.
- Find, access and edit a specific page's information.
- Create new pages.
- Export a list of all the pages present in the workspace.
- Access and edit a page's content (or display template).
Pages list
The pages list is presented as a list of the pages that exist in the workspace:
In the above list you can see that there are two pages.
Clicking on a page title in this list will open the page's information.
You can also access and edit the actual page's content by clicking on the Edit link in the Display template column.
More information on adding page information and how the display template works is available in the Adding a page to the workspace article.
Pages actions
From this screen you can also create a new page, using the New page button, or export the list of pages using the Export XLS button.
You can also use the check boxes to the left of the page titles to select one or more pages, in order to perform the following actions:
Delete
Use this button to permanently delete the selected page(s) from the workspace. Deleted pages will no longer show in Backstage or in the app.
Duplicate
Use this button to create a duplicate of the selected page(s).
Bulk edit
Select multiple (or all) items in the list and then click on this button to access a screen where you can make any type of changes, to all the selected items, in a single stroke. More information is available in the Bulk editing article.
