Interactive features

Interactive features such as clapping, Q&A, polling, live interpretation, etc. are available only when streaming with RTMPS or SpotMe Studio.

Latency delays

Please note that there can be delays on the live stream due to latency (average of 30 seconds), depending on the app users internet speed. Therefore, for any interactive sessions such as polling, Q&A, or feedback forms, please ensure that you give the participants sufficient time to respond to any questions.

Hardware and internet

We also recommend that participants access the web app via their laptop and if possible use at least 3Mbit/s upload and download internet speed. These recommendations may vary depending on your streaming provider.

Apps and streaming

Third party embeds such as Vimeo, YouTube and others are fully supported only on the web. iOS and Android apps display those streams in an in-app web browser without picture-in-picture support and other interactive features.

Restricted use in certain countries

In a few countries (such as Russia and the UAE), we're aware of restrictions that have been put in place for peer to peer applications.

In many of these areas we've had reports from users that they have limited access to video breakouts, or that the service doesn't work for them at all.

Unfortunately because these are government-level restrictions that have been put in place on the internet, there isn't anything we can do to address these types of situations.
