Technical requirements and recommendations
- Only desktop Chrome-based browsers are supported, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge (79+), Opera or Brave. We also recommend using 64-bit versions of these browsers for improved memory management.
- Wired headphones and external microphone (see our suggestions)
- SpotMe's domains and services allowed to pass through the network firewall.
We also recommend that speakers perform the following prior to speaking at a session:
- Close all apps and browser tabs not needed during the presentation.
- Restart the PC before the session.
- Clear the browser’s cache, disable browser extensions, and disable hardware acceleration (Instructions for Chrome and Microsoft Edge).
Network recommendations
- At least 10mbps upload and download speed (test on fast.com)
- Wired internet connection.

Known limitations
- Switching browser tabs or windows may reduce the quality of the speaker's web cam.
- After opening a room and starting the video conference, it may take up to a minute for the "Go live" button to become clickable.
- When adding/removing speakers from the broadcast, it will take 1-2 seconds for the speaker names (labels) to adjust to the new positions in the live stream.
- When clicking "Go live", up to last few seconds of the conference might be broadcasted to viewers. As a workaround, add your camera to the broadcast 30 seconds after you click "go live".
