Attendees each have their own badge, or QR code, that is accessible in the app and contains all of their details and contact information.
This is especially useful for exchanging business cards at face-to-face at events. An attendee can either scan another attendee's QR code using the mobile app, or display their own QR code for it to be scanned.
These QR codes (or badges) can be created and printed in Backstage, OR, if you are using a third party event management tool (such as Cvent for example), you can create and print your own QR codes outside of Backstage in order to use them at your event.
What information or data does an attendee badge QR code contain?
The attendee badge QR code contains a short string of encoded data. This encoded data will pull all the attendee's information directly from the attendee's user profile in the event management tool.
Depending on the event management tool used, the encoded data added to the QR code will vary.
For badges generated in SpotMe, the QR code must be encoded with:
SB{{insert user fp_ext_id}}
For badges generated in Cvent, or an other third party platforms, the QR code must be encoded with:
SB{{{insert third party user registration confirmation number}}}
This means that, for example, for a user with a confirmation number "pax001" the QR code in Cvent should be encoded with "SBpax001"
