How to invite speakers to your Studio live stream

This article will explain how you can easily invite speakers to your live stream using SpotMe Studio. Additional instructions are also available for Inviting a moderator to a Studio live stream.

Note: If you are using SpotMe streaming (RTMPS), separate instructions are available for inviting speakers and moderators to a RTMPS live stream.

By speaker, we are referring to any person other than the host and moderator, who will be speaking during the live stream. The host (or moderator) can invite speakers to join the live stream in Studio, either before or after the room is opened, or even during the live broadcast.

Studio supports up to 10 speakers/moderators in the green room simultaneously, with one host and two screenshares, and up to 10 people live on stage simultaneously, host included.
Please note that while screensharing, up to 6 people (host/speakers/moderators) can be live on stage live at a given time.

Inviting a speaker before the room is opened

To facilitate planning and scheduling with speakers, we recommend that you share the invitation link with speakers well in advance of the stream taking place. This can be done without having to open the stream room in Studio:

1. Go to Live > Live streams in the workspace main menu, and open the live stream you wish to invite speakers to.
   
   
2. Before entering the studio, you can invite speakers using the available link:
   Click on the Copy button here to copy the speaker invitation link, and then share it with the speakers.
   When the time comes, speakers will just need to click on the link to join the live stream via their browser.
   
   You can also copy the speaker invitation link after you have entered the studio (and before opening the room), using the Copy button available in the Invite speakers ahead of time section:
   
   

Inviting a speaker after the room is opened, or when live

You can also copy and share the stream invitation link with speakers just after opening the live stream room, or even while you are live.

1. Open the room for the live stream you wish to invite the speakers to, by clicking on Open room.
   
   
2. Once the room is open, click on the invite 🔗  button:
   
   
3. Copy the link and share it directly with the speakers, so they can immediately join the studio
   

Speakers will just need to click on the link to join the studio via their browser.

As the speakers join you in the studio, you will see them appear in the Speakers section, where you can communicate with them via the speaker chat and add them to the live broadcast when needed.
