Canceling a user in a single workspace
You can cancel a single user in a single workspace from the Users module of your workspace:
- Click on Content > Users from the workspace menu in Backstage.
- Find the user you want to cancel.
- Choose Canceled for the user's status.
- Click on the Save button.
This will cancel a user in a single workspace. The selected users will be cancelled immediately. They will no longer have access to the app or receive any emails from the event.
Canceling a user in multiple workspaces
To cancel a user from multiple workspaces:
- Click on Organizations in the sidebar of your Backstage dashboard.
- Select your organization from the list.
- Click on the Users tab.
- Type in the email address of the user you want to cancel.
- Click on the Cancel button at the top of the screen.
Backstage will then cancel the user from all of their workspaces and prevent them from accessing them via the app.
Logging out users
User's devices can be remotely disabled if needed, simply by logging out the user.
This can be helpful in the case of an employee departure or a device theft.
To do so:
- Click on Organizations in the sidebar of your Backstage dashboard.
- Select your organization from the list.
- Click on the Users tab.
- Type in the email address of the user you want to log out.
- Click on the Invalidate button at the top of the screen.
This will log out the user from their devices, and the next time they use a SpotMe app they will be asked to log in again.
