This article is intended for network administrators.
One of the most common reasons why the SpotMe platform can, at times, appear to not to be working, (or working with limited functionality or degraded performance) is that some of our services are blocked by corporate networks or VPNs.
To use all the features of the SpotMe platform, you need to make sure that access to the required domains and IP networks, listed below, is permitted at all times.
How SpotMe platform works
SpotMe platform consists of a web-based content management system (Backstage CMS) used by corporate administrators, and mobile apps used by event attendees. These apps are available on the web, native iOS and native Android apps.
Backstage CMS and mobile apps use a number of services provided by our partners to deliver the full SpotMe experience, such as push notifications on mobile apps, video conferencing on the web, or 24/7 support chat to administrators.

Notes
* Use UDP 3478 for an improved experience.
** Use UDP 1025 - 65535 for an optimal experience
The ports listed here, UDP 3478 and UDP 1025 - 65535, accept inbound traffic after an outbound request is sent (i.e. all requests originate from the client, so only outbound ports are required). Connection is bidirectional but is always initiated from the corporate network/client, so it is not possible for an external entity to send malicious traffic in the opposite direction.
If your firewall does not support the recommended domain allow-list approach, please contact SpotMe Support to get a temporary list of fixed IPs.
