Changing the icon displayed for live sessions added to the quick links or the content page
All live sessions that are added to the quick links section on the home page, or that are added within a content page, will by default use the icon that is set in the metadata manager.
This default live session icon can be changed by updating it in the Metadata manager. To do so, in the workspace:
- Go to the Settings.
- Click on Metadata.
- Select “Live Session” from the drop-down at the top of the page:
- In the Representation section, update the icon path in the Image field so that it selects the correct icon:
The default value selected (via the path) in the Image field is: icon.video/file.png
Here, the default icon name that is selected is "video".
The "video" name in this parth can be modified to use another icon present in the workspace.
All icons can be found in the workspace under Content → Files → Icons:
Here, you can use any of the icons by adding their name the path. The names are in blue in the fp_ext_id column.
For example you could change the default live session path to icon.ask_question/file.png in order to use this icon.
If needed, you can change the icon that is used for individual live sessions that are added to quick links or content pages. This can be done by:
- Associating a short link to the live session.
- Adding the short link with the live session to the quick links.
- Changing the short link icon to the icon you wish to use for that specific live session.
