CongresssIQ: Meeting profiles now separated from leads

Available starting November 3, 2026

External meeting participants now have their own Meeting profiles list under the Appointments module in Backstage, with support for bulk import.

Previously, external meeting participants and leads captured at the booth shared the same External users list in Backstage. Separating them makes it easier to manage meeting participants without lead captures mixed in.

Meeting profiles and lead profiles serve different purposes: each person has one meeting profile, while each lead capture scan creates a separate profile. For example, an HCP met at both a symposium and a booth will have two separate lead capture profiles.

How it works

Meeting profiles: Find and manage external meeting participants, including through bulk import, in the Appointments module. Existing external users will appear in this list after Appointments is updated:

Lead profiles: Access captured lead profiles from the lead’s detail page in Universal Lead Capture, where you can also modify them when needed:

Separate metadata: Meeting profiles have their own metadata, separate from lead profiles:

CRM sync: Existing CRM sync apps continue to fetch the same information as before, with no reconfiguration required.

External users menu: This menu is removed now that meeting profiles and lead profiles are managed separately.

How to enable it

Update both the Appointments and Universal Lead Capture modules to their latest available versions. Both must be updated for the meeting profiles list and bulk import to be available. 

Meeting profiles will only appear under Appointments after updating this module. If only Universal Lead Capture is updated, these features will not be available.
