The Design category in Backstage is used to personalize the appearance of your event.
Among others, you can customize your menu, theme style, branding, and the invitation emails that you'll send to your audience.
Event theme & branding
You don’t have to be a designer to design great looking apps. SpotMe apps come with amazing default designs that always follow the latest trends and best practices.
The Theme editor in Backstage is used to personalize the appearance of the event app when seen on mobile and on web app. You can use it to first choose an appearance for the app, and then adjust the individual colors that will be applied to the app.
The workspace graphics (banners and images) can also be adjusted to further define how the event app looks to your audience.
App menu
You can just as easily design the navigation experience for your users, by customizing the app menu.
You can build the app menu by adding add direct links to any in-app content and functionalities, including modules, documents, pages, or any online content. Order the items however you want, each with their own icon.
While you can add as many items as you want to the menu, we recommend having no more than ten items. If you do need to add more items, you can always group multiple items into categories based on their type.
Navigation bar
The navigation bar is separate to the app menu, and allows you to add shortcuts to the most important actions in the app, making them easily accessible to your audience at all times. Make sure you pick things that are always going to be useful for the navigation bar.
It's also worth noting that, in addition to the navigation bar and app menu, you can add quick links to the home page of your app for more shortcuts.
