A “knowledge ladder” in a standalone pharmaceutical event is a structured way of progressively building the audience’s understanding, step by step, from basic awareness to deeper clinical insight.
One great way of putting this into practice is to use a quiz-like form for app users to answer, where participants will move through a series of questions. Questions can if needed increase in difficulty or depth, mirroring the step-by-step progression of understanding.
Typically, we recommend that a knowledge ladder quiz include:
- 4-6 questions.
- Using multiple choice or star rating questions for easy answers and comparisons.
- Optional: include an open text field for comments/qualitative data to capture at the end.
The above example is taken from the medical education standalone workspace template, available in Backstage. The template includes two knowledge ladder forms: Pre-event assessment and Post-event assessment.
These forms are built in Backstage in the same way as any standard form or quiz, using the same behaviors and components. More information on building and delivering forms
