Event planners can share permalinks with their live session speakers and moderators, to allow them the access that they need to a specific live session, without requiring that they log into Backstage.
There are two types of permalinks that can be shared:
- Moderator permalink: Allows moderators to approve questions in Q&A, create and launch polls, and see the preview of the live stream.
- Speaker permalink: Allows speakers to see approved questions and poll results.
Through these links, speakers and moderators will only have access to the specific live session you invite them to, and will not have access to the rest of the workspace.
To invite a speaker or moderator to your live session in Studio, open your live session in the workspace, and go to the live session settings.
From here, depending on whether your moderator or speaker is attending in person or remotely, you can click on Copy in order to select the appropriate link for them and share it with them.
Attending in person permalinks, to be shared with speakers or moderators who are attending in person.
Attending remotely permalinks, to be shared with speakers or moderators who are attending remotely.
Note: Speakers and moderators cannot be invited to live streams that are using third party (embedded) streams.
Moderators and speakers will just need to click on the provided link or paste the permalink URL in their browser in order to join the live session.
