Please contact your SpotMe SpotMe Account Manager or Customer Success Manager for more information on how to enable this.
We are proud to announce that SpotMe is now a certified partner of Hive Streaming.
SpotMe customers can now benefit from Hive Streaming technology to deliver the best possible live stream video experience to event attendees.
What is Hive Streaming?
Hive Streaming is a paid feature. For more information please contact your SpotMe Account Manager or Customer Success Manager.
Hive Streaming is specially designed to optimize the performance of your enterprise network bandwidth, in situations where your audience is viewing a live stream using the same shared, and limited, corporate network.
Delivering a high quality video live stream to multiple individual viewers will inevitably create a strain on the available bandwidth. This strain on the limited bandwidth, combined with a large or growing audience, can result in network congestion, which in turn can lead to buffering and reduced video quality for your live stream viewers.
When Hive Streaming is enabled on your live session’s stream, all the viewers who are attending via the shared enterprise network will be able to exchange video segments. This optimizes the usage of the available bandwidth and improves the quality of the live steam video for every participant.
Key benefits of Hive Streaming
Optimize the network bandwidth
Save a significant amount of bandwidth as only a handful of peers are needed to fetch the content on the open internet, and then share it with the others.
Increase live stream reliability
Thanks to the decentralized nature of P2P networks, data remains accessible, even if some peers (viewers) go offline during the live session.
Automatic scaling based on audience
Video delivery is automatically scaled on the enterprise network. As the network grows and more viewers join the live session, the capacity to store and distribute data increases proportionally.
How to enable Hive Streaming?
Hive is a paid feature that needs to be enabled at the organization level before you can enable it on your workspace’s live sessions. For more information please contact your SpotMe Account Manager or Customer Success Manager.
To enable Hive Streaming on your live streams, you will need to have your own Hive Streaming account.

You can also access the live session settings, after the live session is created, in order to enable or disable Hive Streaming from there:
