Agenda discover screen

The agenda discover screen is the first screen that app users will see when they access the agenda in the app.

The information there is updated based on when app user looks at it, and it provides a quick glance at all the currently relevant information for the app user, based on the agenda.

It can include the following information:

• A live session
• Upcoming sessions
• Trending
• Topics

Live session

Whenever there is a live session its details will be displayed at the top of the screen. Quick links polling, Q&A and word cloud will be displayed too if linked in Backstage.

Upcoming sessions

Any immediately upcoming sessions will appear just below the live session. At the end of the day, this section will be called "Tomorrow" and will display couple of early-morning sessions.

Trending

On events with large number of sessions, frequently viewed sessions will be promoted on the Discover screen.

Topics

At the end of the screen, all topics (tags) will be displayed with links to view filtered session lists. You can choose the order in which they appear from the Sessions' Preferences screen in Backstage.

Configuration

Go to Sessions > Preferences > Agenda discover (in Settings):

Here you can enable or disable the agenda discover screen in the app. If it is disabled, app users will directly see their list of sessions when they access the Agenda.

Topics
These are the tags that are created and associated with sessions in the Agenda. They are displayed on the agenda discover screen to help app users filter sessions by tapping the tags.

You can choose to display tags (topics) in an alphabetic order on the screen, or you can change the order manually by selecting Custom.

Upcoming sessions
Here you can select the timeframe to be used for the upcoming sessions.

You can also choose whether you would like to associate the Upcoming sessions to a previously created custom session list. Doing so will display only the sessions that correspond to the criteria set up in the custom session list, and will no longer show all the sessions from that day in the Agenda.

If no custom session list is associated, all sessions present in the agenda and that will take place within the specified time-frame will be displayed in the Upcoming session list in the agenda discover screen.

Note: The Live session and Trending information displayed in the agenda discover screen use a default configuration in Backstage, and can't be modified.
