How to target feeds to participants in the home feed?
The home feed will by default display all the posts, for all the feeds, unless a particular feed is excluded from it.
Among the feeds that will show in the home feed, you can configure targeting to control who among your audience will see that particular feed's posts there. For example, you may have a specific feed that you do not want to display in the home feed to a certain segment of your audience, or that you only want a certain segment of your audience to be able to see.
Targeting works by applying rules.
You can use targeting to configure a rule (or condition) that is applied to the feed. This rule will query the information present in the participants' profiles, so that any participants whose profile information matches the rule will or will not be able to see that particular feeds posts.
In the workspace menu, go to Live > Feeds > Feed tab, and select the feed you wish to apply targeting to. Next, use the targeting options to create the rules your wish to apply to your feed:
More information on howe to use targeting in your event is available in the Targeting article.
How to target individual feeds to participants?
You can have individual feeds that are accessible to your audience via an app menu item (i.e. they will click on the app menu item in order to display the feed).
In this case, if you want only a certain section of your audience to be able to access the individual feed, you will need to use targeting on the app menu item, so that only the audience that you wish to target can see the app menu item (and therefore access the feed).
For more information on how to build and target you app menu items, please refer to the Building the app menu article.
