If you have a branded container application published with SpotMe, the app will be maintained and regularly updated on the stores for the duration of the contract.
App releases frequency
As a general rule, a new major app release is introduced by SpotMe once a month. Major releases usually include added support for new functionalities, performance and UI improvements, and bug fixes.
New releases are communicated via a SpotMe product newsletter and all changes can be found under the Releases section.
Within a week's time of releasing a new major version of the SpotMe native app, your branded container app will be updated on the stores, or the latest app version will be provided to your respective team for deployment, as specified below.
It can occur that your application is updated more than once in a given month, in particular if there is a minor release or a hotfix applicable to your mobile app.
App maintenance options
Depending on the specific use case for your mobile app, the maintenance is performed as follows:
1. Maintained and deployed by SpotMe - applicable if the SpotMe app publishing team has access to your developer accounts on the stores. In this case, the ongoing app updates are fully managed by SpotMe.
2. Maintained by SpotMe and deployed by Client - applicable if the SpotMe app publishing team does not have access to your developer accounts on the stores. In this case, SpotMe will provide the latest versions of the application files and the respective team on the client's side will manage the submission and app update on the stores.
3. Not maintained by SpotMe - applicable if the maintenance contract for the respective app has expired and is no longer valid. In this case, the app is not updated by SpotMe on an ongoing basis.
