Quick access to your event content via your native camera
Your attendees are in a hurry, or don't want to access the mobile app in order to scan a QR code at an event? No worries at all, they will now be able to scan shortlink QR codes using the native camera app directly on their phone. Find out more

Mutual exclusion groups for agenda sessions
In the Sessions module, you can now use session exclusion groups to prevent your attendees from registering to overlapping or repeated sessions. Find out more

Hidden user metadata in your registration page for targeting
You can now add user metadata fields to your registration page forms that are "hidden", and that are not visible to attendees on the registration page. They can be used to identify attendees or add pre-filled data to user profiles, and can also be used for targeting registration forms. More information

Upcoming changes in Backstage roles and permissions
We are making some adjustments to the permissions that roles have within organizations and workspaces.
Up until April 9, 2024, the existing roles and permissions will be continue to be applied.
Starting April 9, 2024, the new roles and permission detailed here will take effect.

Invite API imported attendees to access the event app
You can now configure the SpotMe API in order to send invitation emails to attendees who are added to a workspace via API.

Legacy version of Session check-in module will no longer be supported
Please note that the "legacy" version of the Session check-in module, prior to v.6.0.0, will be fully deprecated started March 5, 2024. Find out more about the new Session check-in module

New tabs for links in registration pages
When an attendee opens an external link in the registration landing page or forms, a new tab is opened.

Live display refresh frequency modified
We have changed the default feed live display so that it is now set to 300 seconds minimum. This can be adjusted as needed for your events by contacting SpotMe support.

Parallel sessions on Backstage
The platform no longer allows parallel sessions to be opened.

Session details visible on registration page
For agenda sessions that are displayed on the registration landing page or forms, attendees can now see the description of the session in order to give them more information about the event and the sessions. More information
