    Empower your reps with universal lead capture

    In addition to QR code scanning, you can now further streamline booth interactions with our new lead capture methods: optical (OCR) badge scanning and manual data entry.

    Closed captions are now supported for on-demand videos
    You can use Backstage to upload closed caption files to your stream replays and on-demand videos, via the Live session VOD settings, the Video library, and the Content hub.

    Once added, the closed captions can be selected by app users who are watching the videos on web or on mobile app, or the content hub. More information

    Collect Q&A questions via your live session replays
    In the VOD settings for your live session, you can now enable the posting of Q&A questions so that viewers can post Q&A questions when watching the replay, and questions can be addressed appropriately by the event team. More information

    Dark mode is now available in Backstage
    Dark mode can now be enabled on Backstage, to provide additional eye comfort for Backstage users. More information

    Connect the Cvent integration module with Cvent REST API
    Cvent is gradually transitioning from an existing SOAP API towards a new version of REST API.
    With the Cvent integration module versions prior to 4.0.0, you can continue to connect to the Cvent SOAP API.
    Starting with version 4.0.0, the Cvent integration module will now connect to the Cvent REST API. More information

    Please contact your SpotMe Account Manager if you wish to install the Cvent integration module version 4.0.0 and onwards.

    Activity challenge (v1.23.5)

    Fixes

    • In app: Resolved isolated issue preventing the Activity challenge page from opening.
    • In Backstage: Resolved issue with certain provider fields not displaying when configuring an activity.

    Information (September 9, 2024): Due to recent changes in Google Cloud restrictions, the Steps activity within an activity challenge will currently not work for app users on Android. We are waiting for this issue to be processed by Google and will provide an update here in due time.

    • In Backstage: Improved stability for handling registrations to waitlists via the app.
    • In Backstage: Resolved isolated issue preventing app users from unregistering from conflicting sessions.

    Session check-in (v6.2.4)

    Fix

    • In Backstage: Resolved isolated issue where a session check-in PIN code was not allowing the attendee to check in to the session.
