This article covers how an app user can exercise different rights related to their data.
Types of collected data
The different types of end user data collected via SpotMe services and apps alongside their retention period can be found in the following Privacy Notice for SpotMe Services.
Right to be informed
You can at any time review the privacy policy of the app and the workspace you are using.
To access those privacy policies:
- Open the ⋯ More menu in the app.
- Tap the profile picture at the top of the menu.
- Tap the Privacy & Legal button.
- Select the privacy policy from the list.
Right to access and data portability
To view your stored personal information, you can request an export of your data. This export will contain your full profile from every workspace that contains your information, together with all of the content that you have generated, and can be imported into another service.
To request an export:
- Tap the ⋯ More menu in the app.
- Tap the profile picture at the top of the menu.
- Tap Privacy & Legal.
- Tap Download my data.
- Tap Request download link.
Within 24 hours you will receive an email with the link to download your data.

Right to rectification
If you find that some of your personal information in the mobile app is not accurate, you can modify it at any time from your profile page.
To access the profile page:
- Open the ⋯ More menu in the app.
- Tap the profile picture at the top of the menu.
- Modify the fields that are not accurate.
- Tap Save.
If you would like to modify a field that is not editable in the app, you can contact the owner of the app to modify it for you. This will be most likely the person or organization that has invited you to download the mobile app.
Right to erasure
To delete all of your data simply follow the following steps:
- Open the ⋯ More menu in the app.
- Tap the profile picture at the top of the menu.
- Tap Forget me.
- Tap Request my data to be deleted.
You will then receive an email to confirm your identity.
- Click on the Delete my data button.
- For final confirmation, click Confirm.
Within 24 hours you will receive an email confirming that your data was deleted. Learn which data gets deleted and how.
