To add clapping to your live stream, you will need to enable the clapping option in your virtual or hybrid live session. This can be done when you create the live session, or by accessing the live session settings once the live session is created.
When clapping is enabled, the audience can "clap" during a live stream to show their support or enthusiasm. The applause will be visible to all participants directly on the live stream, while speakers can see the total number in real time in Backstage.
Participants can clap up to 20 times, before a 60-second cool down period begins. After those 60 seconds, they will be able to clap again.
Clapping for attendees watching a recording of a live stream (VOD) works the same as in live streams. The attendee's claps are visible to any other viewers that are watching the replay at the same time.
You can also see the total number of claps received during the live stream as part of the stream analytics. Clapping for attendees watching on-demand videos (stream recordings) are counted in the Claps (VOD) column of the Live stream analytics report.
