Your sponsors are an integral part of your event. In addition to building nice sponsor pages and applying sponsor levels, with branded banners and links to content or representatives, you can also offer to highlight their presence with sponsored content during the event.
Below we'll provide some ideas on how you can achieve this, and what exactly you can offer to sponsors.
Sponsored packages
As a means of offering to promote your sponsors in your event, you may wish to create a selection of packages that your sponsors can choose from. Each package will contain a certain number of sponsored items, based on how much visibility you want the sponsor to have in the event.
The below table provides an example with three possible packages for sponsors (gold, silver, bronze). Each package has its own sponsored content (per type and per amount the sponsor would be entitled to):
Sponsored content per package | Gold | Silver | Bronze |
Sponsored session or live stream | ✔️ 5 | ✔️ 3 | ✔️ 1 |
Sponsored breakout | ✔️ 5 | ✔️ 3 | ✔️ 1 |
Sponsored feed posts | ✔️ 10 | ✔️ 5 | ✔️ 1 |
Sponsored notifications | ✔️ 5 | ✔️ 3 | X |
Sponsored forms/surveys | ✔️ 5 | ✔️ 3 | X |
Sponsored emails | ✔️ 5 | ✔️ 3 | X |
Sponsored features (*powered by*) | ✔️ 2 | ✔️ 1 | X |
Sponsored feed/discussion wall | ✔️ 1 | X | X |
Sponsored home feed games/competitions | ✔️ 1 | X | X |
Sponsored activity challenges | ✔️ 1 | X | X |
Sponsored prize store | ✔️ 1 | X | X |
It's also worth noting that you can associate these different packages with the sponsor levels, to help manage sponsors based on their level of participation.
Sponsored sessions / live streams / breakouts
Get your sponsors involved in key parts of the event agenda to give them more visibility.
You can have your sponsors speak at or even host their own sessions. You can include their branding in the session pages using their logos and banners, add direct links to steer participants towards the sponsor's page, or even put participants directly in contact with sponsor representatives by sharing their profiles and contact details.
Showcase your sponsors during your live streams by adding their logo or branding to the stream background or shared content. You can also offer to play short sponsored videos before or after the live stream, or even set-up breakouts as part of the session where your participants can meet directly with your sponsors.
You can also schedule video breakouts in your sessions that will take participants directly to a video chat with with a sponsor representative.
Sponsored feeds and posts
The home feed is always going to be the most popular location in your event, and it's also where you can offer to promote your sponsors.
Adding sponsored posts to your home feed, on behalf of your exhibitors, are a great way to generate interest among your audience. Posts can be branded to your sponsors identity, with their own personalized message, image, video, and links out to content that is within or outside the event.

You you can even offer that your sponsors have their own dedicated and branded feeds in your event that they can animate as they see fit.
Finally, remember that to make a sponsor even more visible on the home screen or a feed, you can use the option to always display the sponsor banner in the home screen, or to pin a post to the top of a feed.
More information on using your feeds to highlight your sponsors is available in the How to get the best out of your home screen article.
Sponsor surveys or forms
Your sponsors can create surveys or questionnaires that can be sent out to your audience in order to collect valuable feedback and information.
You can choose exactly when these surveys are sent out, like after a session or at the end of an activity, and responses to forms can be exported and provided back to the sponsors in the form of insights.
Sponsored emails
Why not allow your exhibitors to reach out directly to your event audience via emails. Like any emails sent out from your event, they can be fully branded and contain links to content such as pages, sessions, forms, and can be targeted based on the sponsor's needs.
Sponsored features
Why not offer to shine the spotlight on your sponsors by associating them to a popular feature in your event?
You could for example rename your Agenda to something like "Agenda bought to you by ACME", or any other feature or activity available in the event such as a feed, activity challenge, etc.
Sponsored notifications
Offer to send notifications through Backstage in behalf of your sponsors to generate interest.
You can set-up a schedule of notifications to be sent out throughout the event, and include direct links to content or representatives to draw more of your audience's attention to your sponsors.
Don't forget that you can also offer to target the notifications to certain groups of participants based on your sponsor's needs.
Sponsored home feed games and activity challenges
Your sponsors may be interested in sponsoring games or friendly contents in your event.
These could for example take place on a popular feed that gets lots of visibility, with the results discussed live as part of a sponsored live stream.
Sponsored activity challenges are also a great way to steer your audience towards your exhibitors content in the event, and can be fully branded to make your sponsor stand out nicely.
Sponsored prize stores
A great combination if to set-up a sponsored prize store where your audience can pick up there winnings after completing games or challenges.
The prizes can be any kind of digital swag bag or other items provided directly by your sponsors to the event participants.
