In order to support compliance requirements for life science events, we have added a setting to disable access to the mobile app and/or the web app for the entire event.
How to enable/disable the access to the web app or mobile app?
Go to Settings > General > Workspace information.
Here you will see the two settings - Close web access and Close mobile app access - that allow you to open or close access to the web app and/or the mobile app for this event. These settings are disabled by default:
Enabling the Close web app access option will prevent all attendees from accessing this event via the web app, including for Backstage workspace team members. This applies to the web app on mobile and desktop browsers.
Important: You must enter a redirect URL in order to redirect the attendees who try to access the web app when the workspace is closed. If you do not enter a redirect URL, the web app will not be closed even though you have enabled "Close web app".
Enabling the Close mobile app access option will prevent attendees from accessing this event in their mobile app as the event will not be displayed in the "My events" list in the app.
For example, enabling the Close mobile app access option while disabling the Close web app access option will mean that attendees can only access the event in the web app (via desktop and mobile browsers) and cannot access it via the mobile app.
