Inviting the moderator
In the same way as you can invite speakers to a webinar in SpotMe Express, you can invite moderators by sharing a dedicated moderator link with them.
Typically, the moderator will not participate as a speaker or appear in the live broadcast, and only will have a behind-the-scene role assisting the host with things such as:
- Inviting speakers and coordinating with the speakers and host via the private chat panel
- Adding and removing speakers from live broadcast (speaker transitions), or performing any necessary actions on speakers (mute, kick out of webinar).
- Adding, moderating and pushing to screen Q&A questions.
- Adding and launching polls.
- Sharing content content.
Note: A moderator has all the same permissions and accesses as the host in Express, except that they cannot start or end the webinar.
To invite the moderator, go to the webinar settings and scroll down to the Moderator link.
Here you can copy the link and share it directly with the moderator:
How does the moderator join?
Moderators will be able to join the webinar room once you have opened the room. They'll simply need to click on the link to join the webinar via their browser.
If a moderator clicks on the invitation link before the webinar live room has been opened, they will see a message indicating that the room is not yet open (and that they cannot yet join the room).
Note: Moderators do not automatically receive reminders or notifications when the room is opened.
How can the moderator communicate with the host/speakers?
To facilitate communication with the host, the moderator, or any other protagonists in the live room with them (before or during the live broadcast), the moderators can use the internal chat located on the left side of the screen. This chat is not visible to the audience.
Important: Be careful that moderators do not use the Q&A to the right of the screen for internal communication, as this can be fully visible to the audience.
How can the moderator share content?
For more information on how to screen share content when in SpotMe express, please refer to the How to share content article.
