"External users" and "Pending registrations" lists moved into the Users section for easy access

The "External users” and "Pending registrations” lists have now moved to the “Users” section in the workspace, so that they are always accessible via Backstage. The existing “Users” list in the workspace is now renamed to “App users”. Find out more

Scan a wider range of barcodes at congresses and conventions

The Universal lead capture scanner can now scan a broader range of barcode types, to facilitate the scanning of attendee badges at conventions.

Hidden user fields are now visible and editable in Backstage

User metadata that is set to “Hidden” is now visible in the User details page in Backstage, so that Backstage users can verify the populated information and edit it if needed. The fields will continue to be fully hidden in the app. This is only applicable for “User” metadata.

Are you using the Cvent REST API yet?

To accommodate Cvent's transition to REST API, we highly recommend that you start using the Cvent REST API integration module as soon as possible. Starting September 23, 2025, the Cvent SOAP integration module will be deprecated. Find out more

Import event check-in data from SpotMe/Onomi to Cvent via the Cvent REST API integration

Users can now import the SpotMe attendee event check-in and attendance data as part of the user data sync from SpotMe/Onomi into Cvent (one-way). Find out more

Adjusted column widths in the tag manager for content hubs

In the Content hub tag manager, we have adjusted the width of the columns to ensure that all information remains readable when adding tags.

Track the email link opens for your meeting request “reminder” emails

When using the Appointments module, in addition to the meeting request invitation emails, you can now also see when the meeting request “reminder” emails have been opened. This information is visible in the email logs in Backstage. Only currently available for meeting request invitation and invitation “reminder” emails.

Track document downloads in the Documents dashboard report

Document downloads are now included in the Documents report export (summary and individual document reports), which is accessible via the workspace dashboard.

Form live results now use shortened permalinks

Shortened and more user-friendly permalinks are now being used for the form live results links.

Background color adjustments to Video breakouts buttons

For a better design consistency, the background colors of the call-to-action buttons and tabs in the Video breakout user interface on the web app have been adjusted so that they always use the primary color selected in the workspace theme editor.
